Joe Fischer began training at Aikido North in Anchorage Alaska in 1995 under Calvin Koshiyama Sensei, where he was promoted in 2006 to his current rank of Sandan (3rd degree black belt). Sensei Fischer is commited to the study and teaching of martial arts full time. Fundamental techniques are taught with an emphasis on the underlying principles upon which the techniques are based.
Having taught extensively in Alaska and to a limited extent in Tucson, he looks forward to introducing new students in Three Points and the surrounding area to the art and joy of Aikido.
